GP Partner

Abbey Medical Group based in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire are looking for a GP Partner to join their team. There is a view to join the team from July 2025, however the start date would be negotiable for the right candidate.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing patients, working with multi-disciplinary teams and undertaking all clinical duties associated with work as a General Practitioner in line with GMC and RCGP standards. Also supporting the team to achieve the surgery’s QOF and Enhanced Service targets. As well as the usual duties of a GP we offer additional services such as joint injections and coil fitting.
Interests in continuity of care, medical education and womens health would also be welcome but not essential.

The practice are seeking an individual with excellent organisational skills, communication and team working skills. A commitment to delivering a high quality, welcoming service is essential.

Person Specification: Essential

• Be able to evidence a breadth and depth of clinical knowledge and skills, be able to deal with people in a professional manner even when under pressure and demonstrate strong inter-personal and communication skills.
• Have passed membership exam of the Royal College of General Practitioners, are accredited as a GP by the GMC, and are registered on the NHS National Performers list.
• Have recent experience working as a GP in the UK, either as Partner or salaried doctor, and show an enthusiasm for general practice with a commitment to life-long learning and have a
  positive attitude to continuous quality improvement.

Desirable

• Interests in continuity of care, medical education, joint injections, Palliative care experience and women’s health would be welcome but not essential.
• Experience of using SystmOne.
• Working as part of a PCN.
• Experience of working in a GP practice
• Using a triage appointment system

We currently have a list size of approximately 12,600 patient sand are based across 2 sites in Blidworth and Ravenshead. We pride ourselves with delivering high quality patient focused care. Our practice uses SystemOne and experience with this systemwould be beneficial, but training can be provided.

There is an excellent management structure in place that is led by the Practice Manager and the management team alongside 7 GP Partners, GP Registrars, a Lead Nurse, 2 Practice Nurses, a Nurse Associate, 2 HCA’s and a phlebotomist.

The Abbey Medical Group is a Forward-thinking practice, with innovative ways of working. We are an established training practice with 4 GP trainers. The successful candidate will be required to perform supervision/debriefs but participation in being a trainer/formally teaching will be optional.
