Salaried GP

We currently operate with four GPs (one principal and three salaried), a practice nurse and a HCA. Due to a previous partner having retired around 3 years ago and the upcoming retirement of a senior salaried GP; we are looking for someone to come on board to help us to meet the challenges of General Practice moving forwards. We have ambitions to develop the business and the facilities to continue to provide for the community

Hounsfield Surgery is a GMS rural dispensing practice with a list size of 4415 of whom 99% are dispensing. We are situated in the village of Sutton on Trent close to the A1 and with access to the East Coast Mainline at Newark 6 miles away. Prior to the pandemic we were renowned for having excellent access resulting in being voted the top surgery in Nottinghamshire for two years in a row. We continue to try to be more reactive to the needs of our patients than to top down policies

We are a small friendly practice with low levels of deprivation and due to the absence of any elderly care homes in the area we are able to focus home visiting only on the truly house bound or palliative and thus allow a more balanced work day. We accommodate medical students from the University of Nottingham from the 1st and 2nd year. We use SystmOne and provide laptops to allow the flexibility to be able to work from home.
